How can I use the Twitter API to search for images shared in tweets?
-
I'd like to have a list of image URLs returned for a hashtag search (e.g. "sammich").

Answer:
You can do this with the DataSift API - using the CSDL Language (http://dev.datasift.com/csdl) you can define a customer search e.g. twitter.text CONTAINS "sammich" AND links.domain IN "http://twitpic.com,http://yfrog.com,http://flickr.com" you would likely want to research the list of picture hosting sites - but this would be a good start. You can also look at the title of the picture e.g. links.title CONTAINS "sammich" For more details http://dev.datasift.com
