What changes in the Cocoa Touch framework will be needed to enable developers to develop for multiple iPhone sizes after new sizes are launched?

Answer:
None. There are already multiple device sizes (3.5 and 4 inch iPhones, and the iPad) and the Cocoa Touch framework is already enabled to develop for them.

Nothing more than has been added to iOS 8. I was just using the fabulous ASCIIwwdc site to search the WWDC 2014 videos for "size classes" which is the most important term for the new capabilities. They are a relatively trivial coding change which is more about a shift in thinking - stop thinking of the device as an iPhone or iPad in a given rotation. http://asciiwwdc.com/search?q=size+classes
