What are good places to visit in Austria?

What are the best places to visit in Austria for 1 week, with a toddler?

  • Answer:

Depends on the weather, but the Zoo Schönbrunn is a must. If it's rainy, try the Aquarium "Haus des Meeres". But make sure to get there early. It's situated in an old anti-aircraft tower from WW2, so plenty of stairs. You'll have to leave your stroller downstairs, but there are plenty of benches on each floor. There's also a nice big playground just outside. Museumsquartier is also nice: plenty of cafes and museums for the parents and the Zoom Kids museum/indoor playground for kids. You'll need to book a reservation there, though. In the Technisches Museum, there's plenty to look at for old and young - and also a very nice indoor playground. If you like to go hiking, consider the Lainzer Tiergarten: comfortable for most strollers, playgrounds and animals like deers and cows. Limited toilet facilities, though and only one vastly overpriced restaurant. When exactly would you be in Vienna?
