  • Answer:

Well you can take inspiration from this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raj_Reddy. He is the first person of Asian origin to receive the ACM Turing Award, in 1994, the highest award in Computer Science, for his work in the field of artificial intelligence. He received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Guindy Engineering College of the University of Madras (now Anna University, Chennai).

No it doesnt matter I think your game-plan should be : 1. Get into Infosys/TCS/Wipro/IBM through campus placements (these interviews are hardly technical and are very easy to crack) 2. Get trained by your employer 3. Identify a stack of technologies that you need to learn in two years 4. learn those technologies through self study/training arranged by employer 5. Brush up data structures and algorithms 6. After two years leave your current employer and join a product development firm
