Where are some great places to visit in Philly for a spring break?

Where are the best places in the United States for a family to visit on Spring Break?

  • Answer:

I like southern Utah, which is incredibly beautiful red rock country.  I'd visit Moab and Arches National Park, drive to Canyonlands NP, road trip to Cedar Mesa for Anasazi ruins, and Natural Bridges National Monument if time allows.  Additional nearby parks include the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.  The national forests, BLM lands, and Native American reservations are all worth visiting as well. Word of caution: pick just a few of the above unless you have unlimited time.  Moab is a great spot to learn about this area and is very friendly towards tourists.  Browse the bookstores and chat with the clerks to get an idea of what suits your interests. This assumes you love canyons, clear streams, high desert dotted with forests above, 1000 year old Indian ruins, and wide open spaces full of space and sandstone.  Google the above for images if you're not familiar with them.
