Salary and Position: How to get higher position & salary in an IT company quickly?

  • I passed out from college (B-Tech ECE) in 2011 but started of programming and website development since beginning of my college days . I worked with few startups , did freelancing .. Launched my own website which is quite popular in india . I worked in php , python , java ( not much) and go . Apart from this I majorly worked in development and implemeting things from scratch , product design , features , strategy in payments domain , social networks , data analytics and ecommerce . I am also good with : Mysql Postgres Oracle Html Css Javasctipt Jquery Sqlite Redis Memcache Server setups and all No sql databases . Optimization , scaling and performance optimization is something I love to do . Currently I am working as SSE with a very reputed ecommerce firm in India . But I want to attain a higher position like vp of engineering or director of engineering or CTO in next 2-3 years in companies like infosys , ibm , sapient , facebook , google , linkedin or similar ones with atleast 40 to 50 lpa (INR) in india or $250k outside india . Problem is companies like infosys or sapient or ibm gives you salary and position based on your experience , it does not matter how skilled or good you are .
