International students studying nursing?

What happend to the discussion of a nursing or medical program being built in the North Austin/Round Rock area?

There some talk of Baylor, Texas Tech, or someone building a Nursing or Medical School in North Austin? I have lived in Austin for 30 years, a huge longhorn fan, and I am a BOI baby who has a father that graduated from UTMB and is a practicing surgeon in San Antonio. I would like nothing more to see that the UTMB came to Austin, especially so many of the students already intern here with various doctor specialties. My daughter is studying Nursing...and it seems to me that when she began her studies she as considering a program in North Austin/Round Rock that had plans to build a medical/nursing program a couple of years ago. I would, of course love it if UTMB relocated here, or UT offer another campus here...but I do recall that there was some sort of conversation about it a couple years ago about someone planning to build in North Austin/Round Rock area. Do you know what became of that? It is an honest question.
Answer:

I'm not sure if Baylor has any plans to build in North Austin/Round Rock but two nursing campuses have opened in Round Rock in fairly recent history. Austin Community College offers an ADN program in Round Rock and Texas State University offers a BSN program.
