How do I configure Google Chrome to download PDFs when I click on a link to a them?

Currently it opens them in browser, which I am beginning to find is not generally not what I want.

Just type âabout:pluginsâ in address bar and then disable the Chrome PDF Viewer and the Adobe Acrobat/Reader plugin (if present). Your PDF files will then just download rather than open in the browser.
