What is a good website to look for snowboards?

I downloaded a new theme to change my current blog website to a business website. However, when I try to shift it to the new theme it does not look anything like what I saw in the DEMO. What changes must I make so that the website functions as a business website?

  • Answer:

Whenever you download any WordPress themes, It comes up with a full documentation. The live demo of your purchased theme is specially created for demo purpose. It indicates all of the main features of that individual WordPress theme. Whenever you legally purchase and download premium themes, It contains the sample data folder with sample.xml file or dummy.xml or whatever. If you can't find any dummy data file in your purchased WordPress theme package. In that case, try to contact your theme provider and inform them to provide a demo .xml file. If you are already getting a fresh .XML file in your theme package. Then here is the way to import all data from it. Here is a Quick (Well said) method to install XML dummy data file in WordPress: Activate your newly purchased WordPress Theme. Go to tools >> Import Select WordPress from the list (It might asks to install WordPress Importer, if it doesn't exist in your WordPress Installation). Browse and upload your dummy xml data file to the WordPress. On the next step it WordPress Importer prompts you to map authors to your current blog. Kindly select multiple or single authors. Now on the next page it will ask for a permissions to download attachments (Images, files). Click on "Download & Import Attachment" box and move forward. Now all attachments will be downloaded to your WordPress site. Please keep in mind that there are many WordPress themes over there in the WP Theme market. It might be possible that each & every theme has its own demo installation method. It would be better for you to refer (open) documentation.html file that resides in the folder of your premium wordpress theme. Thanks, Regards.

Other answers

I´ll add to what Mayur said: There are special theme features that require certain posts, galleries written in a certain way. For example, a home carousel may need a set of posts with a featured image, and a certain tag defined by the theme. Other themes may use a special built-in addon to do the carousel, etc. Find the documentation of the new theme, read it carefully.

Check the theme documentation, then check for theme customization (either in the Customizer or the theme's custom feature section).  Many themes also rely heavily on home page templates with widgetized sections, so look in that direction.

Every time you update a theme, before doing so, you should back it up in case the theme causes issues with your site. Even though most themes (and frameworks) have documentation, many times the documentation is complex, could be incomplete or difficult to discern for non-programmers or non-developers. When sites show you a picture of their theme (also called a template) they're showing you how it should look after being installed, not really informing you that set up could conceivably take days or longer to figure out. Your best bet in this case is to look for step-by-step instructions on how to set up the theme, ask for help from the forum associated with the theme, and budget your time such that you can spend several hours a day on installing the theme properly until you're completed. Good luck!
