I am a fresh engineering gradate. I have no job. Should I consider doing my own business? I can find a "low" level job now but I want to be my own master but lack experience. But if I go for business I feel the hole in my resume might make me completely ineligible for hiring?

Answer:
There is nothing called ineligible for hiring. Of course you will have lower chances for jobs like your friends are having but there are lots of companies which look forĀ the experience you will get after starting your business. That job will be better than what your friends may be having at that time. Since you don't have a job, you are not in a golden cage. You are free and have nothing to loose. If you don't have any prior family commitments or education loan, go ahead.

If you're motivated to start your business, go for it! Your success will depend on two things: the ideas you have for your business, and the resources you have to support yourself while you get it started. Starting a business requires either some capital to get yourself going, or very good luck (or connections) to attract your first paying customers. Most of all, it requires heart and stamina, because it's much more effort than getting up every day and going to a job. If you can, find a business person who can advise you. Your business means everything to you, and you will eat, sleep, and drink it every day, so you must be passionate about what you're doing. But above all, don't worry about having a "hole" in your resume, because even if your business doesn't end up suiting you, and you decide to apply for jobs later, when you go to apply for a job and explain that the first thing you did when you graduated was start your own business, anyone who is doing serious hiring will know two things about you: that you've got guts, and that unlike most working stiffs, you'll understand their challenges as a business person. Just make sure that you explain to them that you're leaving behind entrepreneurship for a reason, or else they might suspect you'll jump the ship and go indie again. Good luck!

I believe to start an online business, you don't have to be a top-notch engineer with 5+years of experience. If you are committed and motivated in life you can start a profitable online business with very less investment. http://www.juststarting.in shows how to do that. Try them out.
