Why does shipping in the US take so long?

Germany is 357,021 km² The United States is 9.827 million km² Germany is substantially  smaller than the contiguous 48 states of the United States, roughly the size of one state.  (The maps used in other answers are weirdly out of proportion.) Rather than thinking of the US as a "country" think of it more like the EU, with 50 "countries," each with their own laws that have significant overlap. So, now, instead of imagining shipping across Germany, imagine shipping from Sweden to Italy. That'll give you a better image of the scope of the issue.

Shipping speed in US depends on many factors. The shipping speed is subject to identifying the best warehouse to ship from, based on the buyer location, and the availability of the product.
