Should I go into video or graphic design?

I have a video, animation and design company based in India, and want to expand my services to clients in US. How should I go about it?

Should I approach companies directly, or should I go to marketing companies? If so, then what is the general way of approaching people in this field?

    If I were I start making my portfolio. After I have some clients under my name I can go and directly approach some US companies looking to develop their videos (you can find them by searching on twitter, google+ and so on) Meantime, list yourself to directories and niche websites related to products videos. Maybe create a blog with tips on how to create good product videos, start guest commenting on different websites. For your portfolio, track conversion metrics that increased (hopefully) after they added your video on their website. Publish these reports and you'll get free promotion from mass-media. After you've done this it's very easy to find a sales agent in US and ask him to make partnerships with agencies, commission based. Please contact me if you have any questions.
