What associates degree should i get?

What should I do, I am 21 year old girl who is shy, smart and ambitious and still doing my generals credits because of family issues as I have to support both my parent on minimum wage jobs. Should I postpone getting a Masters in physical therapy and just get a dental hygiene associates degree?

  • I love physical therapy, but the dental hygiene degree is over 2 year vs the 5 for physical therapy and I get to start my life quicker and it has good pay but would I regret it in the long run? I don't want to be a dental hygienist forever, my heart isn't in it but I think I would be good at it.

    People do change careers during lifetime.  Use Dental Hygienist to pay your bills and spend time studying more to upgrade your profession.  You will never regret helping your parents when they need you.  The satisfaction from serving parents in need will be the fire under your wings.  God will honour your right decisions.

Get the Masters, you can take care of your parents much better if you have a job as a Physical Therapist. Plus you will always regret it it you don't pursue your dreams.

I have been in the same situation and I chose to skip on my dreams for my family at the moment I hated my life but few years down the line I was amazed how god helped me such mysterious ways that not only was I able to achieve what I wanted but much much more. I would say do the two year program and help your parents and you will achieve much more in life
