What observations can be made about how Wiki sites can encourage their communities to work together collaboratively and politely?

There should be a naked web protocol (http:WikiWord or perhaps using the special net domain http:wikiwikiweb.net/WikiWord), that allows all wikis to inter-connect with each other, via unspaced WikiWords.  Since each page is editable, squatting isn't that much of an issue as it is with traditional DNS. Otherwise, see Ward's original wiki, where many such observations and discussions have been made.

I just found http://www.socialtext.com/ The social aspect of the wiki is similar to microblogging.
