Does google still permanently save every search?

When I save to Pocket directly from Google SERPs, without clicking through to the desired web page, why does it save as a Google search URL and not pull through the actual page title and information?

  As a workaround, I found that the following Chrome extension removes the redirect from the Google SERP.
