Does google still permanently save every search?

When I save to Pocket directly from Google SERPs, without clicking through to the desired web page, why does it save as a Google search URL and not pull through the actual page title and information?

  • Answer:

As a workaround, I found that the following Chrome extension removes the redirect from the Google SERP. Once enabled, all search results provide their direct url and therefore allow you to right-click and 'Save to Pocket' directly without having to click-through. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/remove-google-redirects/ccenmflbeofaceccfhhggbagkblihpoh?utm_source=quora Would the Pocket team be able to update the functionality to process the redirect, therefore removing the requirement of a workaround like this, and provide it as a standard (awesome) feature?
