Psychology: What do you think is of most importance in determining a person's personality- their environment, genes, their traits?

  • Of course, there are so many psychological schools which have different theories, but if we assume it comes down to a combination, what makes a person decide, for example, to save an injured puppy lying on the street- the fact that they've been raised in a good family, the fact that they've learned that they should do good because it brings fulfillment, or the fact that their parents donated a particular kind of DNA which gave the foetus the foundation of the said qualities?
