How much does it cost to place an ad on television? I know it sounds like every channel has a different cost but what are the costs for some famous channels? I wanted to know specially for India.

It depends on where and when exactly you want to place your ads.You will get different rates for different time slots of the same chanel.Prime timeĀ (7pm-10pm)rates are much higher compared to other time slots.TRP is also a big factor.High TRP means high rate. For most popular chanels it will cost you INR 1-5 lakhs for 10 seconds on an average.Bulk purchasing is a different matter where the client negotiates and settles a suitable deal for a specific time period including all prime time,non prime time slots. Sometimes during a cricket match or broadcastig of newly released hit movie the 10 sec slot may cost you as high as Rs 20 lakhs.
