After my B.Tech in CSE, I got a job in the field of SEO (programming skills are not so good) and get an average salary, but my parents keep on saying that I should study more and do some post graduate like MBA, Mtech, etc. What is some advice for my future?

Your situation is almost the same which one of my friends faced a couple of years ago. She had completed Computer Engineering and she could not decide whether to start working or studying further. SEO job is a something that you do not need to be an engineer for that. So, I must say that there are more things that you can do. Also, if you can complete your MBA then you will have a variety in your education. You have already got the technical skills; now if you can gather some administrative or management knowledge then you will have more than 2 dimensions to offer to the employees. Then you can expect more respectable job and prestige in the Society. Working professionals with more than 2 years job experience can get admission for “Executive” MBA Program which is for 1 year. You can make a research on the existing curriculum of the MBA Colleges and decide the best for you. You must always remember that there is no alternatives for education. The more education you have, the more your chances are to get a respectable job and be someone in the Society.

Doing just SEO won't help with your career so further studies makes sense, you can either go for MS or MBA or even Mtech. But as you are saying you are not good with programming then you can do MBA from a good college, as you also have work experience you can go for one year MBA or one year executive program from SOIL (http://www.soilindia.net), ITM, Great Lakes, ISB.

I would like to help. I will explain to the point, no more logics.For example, if you keep working in SEO and next two years you will have minimum two years of experience. So, you will no more fresher, companies will start looking at your portfolio.And at the same time, if you quit the job now and will do MBA. Then after two years with a better degree, no one will gonna ask for the marks, everybody will ask for experience. I am damn sure about this and very much experienced as number of my friends are crying today.What to do now? See, just focus on SEO, learn each and everything by reading blogs online, learn PPC, social media, content marketing and email marketing in these two years. Be a digital marketer and then see, nobody can stop you by earning 50k/month minimum. I am sure about this. So, rather than going into MBA, learning that and then come back again as a fresher, I would suggest to keep learning in digital marketing field and earn so much.I would like to inform that you may earn as freelancer at home (Part time), and there are so many ways to earn in this field. As of now, just focus on SEO and get familiar with this field and beat the heat dude. yeah !I repeat again - Today’s date, Experience is Much Preferred than a Degree !PS: I am not a MBA, but many MBA’s are working under me because I am an experienced SEO manager and they just started their career (freshers).And yeah, I am earning enough according to my experience, knowledge, management power, leadership and patient, so just dont worry about the money in this feild, you can earn whatever you want and very soon become a CEO of own company.I am giving these suggestions from my heart and a bit from mind because I can see my future and coming generation who definitely gonna use internet and online shopping !
