What are some colleges/universities in France that are in English?

Is it as necessary for people from Italy, Spain, France and other non-English countries to know English, as it is for Indians?

• In India it's a necessity for people to know English if they are to survive in the modern world. No company will hire you if you just know Hindi. Is that the case in other non English countries as well? Do they have enough companies in their own country to self sustain that they need not learn English or do they need to?

  No, I it is not necessary for them to learn English. As a matter of fact, they do not study English till the secondary school level. I have been to Germany and Japan as a part of a student cultural exchange program and I have seen in both places that they are proud of their country and their language and consider it as in insult if they communicate with their fellow countrymen in English or any foreign language. As a result, they don't have to use English, until they want to communicate with any foreigner. Only those people are proficient in English who have to use it on a daily basis, like for example, dealing with foreign clients, etc. English should be optional and it would have been optional had we not have considered it to be the language of gentleman and had we not looked down upon people speaking Hindi in the office environment. As Indians, whatever we say, our actions show that we are not proud of our culture and heritage and we have an inferiority complex. Yes we have diversity in our country, but should we use a foreign language to unite us. I don't think so. Nowadays, I see schools who while admitting students in Nursery School, have a condition that the child should speak English, what the hell. Learning a foreign language is good, but learning it at the expense of one's own language is bad. We should be proud of our language. Hindi is a more scientific and a way better language than English. We should be proud of that.
