How do some websites BLOCK some users from their sites?

Will internet always be about websites for users? Is there any model where web sites do not exist and yet users interact

  • I am not referring to other uses of this vast network. With specific reference WWW, Will there be a time when websites are no longer there? What is the future of various websites?

    These models exist now.  When a website or company has a "mobile-app", this is most likely using the internet. While the same data may be sent using a website or to a mobile app, the same user is interacting with the same data. A website is merely a way of presenting information.  The information can be sent and interpreted by more than just web browsers; it's just that most people use web browsers now.  The technology is constantly changing and continues to evolve.
