Is the intel sponsorship deal only for Spanish league jerseys and not for Champions league jerseys? This is the first-ever placement of a logo inside the club's jersey. The new jersey was unveiled today at FC Barcelona's training facilities by Intel's Conrad; Sandro Rosell, president of FC Barcelona; andFC Barcelona players Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol. The new jersey will be worn beginning in the La Liga match against Villareal on Dec. 14.

Some logos are appliqué, put on the outside surface of the jersey. Or, as you suggest, maybe the team doesn't give the sponsor any advertising beyond what was paid for.
