Why does a crazy ball (bouncy ball) bounce more than a normal tennis ball?
-
-
Answer:
The crazy ball is made up of polyurathene (PUT) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The latter can be made as elastic as a rubber band or as rigid as a car tyre. The crazy ball is made up of soft but rigid PVC. This makes the crazy ball have a strong reaction on hitting the ground. This, in turn, acts on the whole ball and makes it bounce upwards.
