How much do TV News Anchors make in a year?
-
-
Answer:
It varies wildly based on experience, market size, and negotiating skills. A new weekend anchor in a small market could make anywhere from $20-30k a year. A veteran evening anchor in a top 25 market can make hundreds of thousands of dollars. Top anchors in top 5 markets, a half million or more. So there's your ballpark. If you drew a graph with market size on the x axis and average anchor salary on the y axis, I'd guess it would be a mostly straight line from bottom left to top right with a bit of a j-curve at the far end.
