Why is WEBrick::HTTPServer#start not coming after making a Rails server on Windows 8?
-
OSX WINDOWS 8 Nothing comes after this. I cannot even open server -h.

Answer:
What do you expect to happen? Server started, and waiting for you to connect. You are expected to type Ctrl-C to stop the server (kill it), or to connect your browser to localhost:3000 and see the rails default page.

Other answers
The rails server command is running correctly. It is not designed to run in the background. When you are done running the server, type Control+C to stop the server. If you also want to run other commands and keep the server running, you will need to open a new terminal tab/window.
