What's a good backpack I can fit my macbook in?

What are some options for backpack camera bags that can also accommodate a 15" Macbook Pro and fit under a typical airline seat?

  • I usually carry one DSLR body, 3-4 lenses, and a few accessories like extra batteries, tripod mounts, remote trigger, etc. This is a follow-up question to .

I was looking for a backpack with the same specifications and wound up with a Lowepro Fastpack 250. http://products.lowepro.com/product/Fastpack-250,2086,14.htm It fits a good amount of gear securely, and has lots of really great little details for holding smaller items such as shutter remote cables, memory cards and remote triggers. More importantly, the laptop sleeve is really well padded and can easily keep your laptop secure. Once you have all of your camera gear in place and your laptop safely stowed, the backpack can get pretty heavy, but the hip straps do a decent job of offloading the weight to your pelvis, giving your shoulders a rest.

I have the http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-SLRC-206-15-4-Inch-Backpack/dp/B002DW99H8/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1359644449&sr=8-5&keywords=dslr+backpack  that I really like. It offers a lot of flexibility with movable pads on the inside of the backpack, so you can adjust as necessary to ensure a secure fit for your lenses etc and shove random odds and ends into the other compartments. You can even attach a tripod to the side. I like the hammock style suspension system as well - and I've had no issues worrying about protection and whatnot. The greatest testament to this backpack was walking through the pouring rain last night with my camera and 15 inch Macbook Pro - and discovering, when I returned home that everything was 100% dry on the inside. The exterior of the backpack was also dry within a few hours. It is a tight-ish fit under the airline seat but if you have nothing else - it's not an issue. I've flown with it there a few times now.
