How do i make an email newsletter?

How do you manage email communications with your users?

  • We are an SaaS company, not huge, but with enough users that it's becoming difficult to communicate with them via email, in bulk. Some of the issues we need to solve are: - We store their email addresses when they enter them, or when we set up their accounts. Later some people change their address but don't tell us, so when we send we get failures. Their usernames are not their email addresses, so they can keep using the site even with a bad email. - We want to be able to use one of the email services to send nice newsletters. But the problem is, how do we coordinate between our database of users and one of those sites? - And if one of them unsubscribes via the service's link, how do I make sure they don't get back on the list the next time I export my users' emails to the newsletter site? - If I just want to send a quick email to my users, I have no easy way to do that. I'm going in, getting a dump of emails, and pasting them into BCC in an actual email program. - How do you do these and other things? Did you create your own functionality within your site's admin tools? Do you hook up with one of the email newsletter companies via an API? - Is there a great place to go to find all these answers?

  • Answer:

I am not sure if you're worried about being able to communicate to your users or just keep track of who is on your list. Maybe you want to try http://tinyletters.com though.
