Is there a book or a resource which teaches practical software design, analysis of program behavior and thinking patterns?
-
For example, how to analyze all possible implications of introducing a change in a piece of software - what's redundant, what's equivalent to what else, what's untenable. Is thinking about software and analyzing behavior accurately only the domain of those who are good critical thinkers or is there a methodology that can be followed by lesser mortals to be as effective? Are there books which help you do this?

Answer:
The best way to apply one model in one of your engineering project. There are things, which can be only experienced, that is why you have to make project 2 times in your engineering academic tenure.
