It has alot of potential since Tencent has uncomparable resources in user data including their social graph. It needs to catch up on its core tech very quickly though

There is nothing except for technology revolution can be used to compete with Baidu. Although tencent has hundreds million users,it can't stop them using baidu just as a habit.

Tencent's Soso is just so so. It can not even compete with Netease's Youdao. But it has a huge user coverage potential because the popularity of QQ.
