What are some of the problems that Philadelphia is currently facing?

What are some of the biggest problems facing the city of Philadelphia?

  • I'm a student at a high school in the suburbs outside Philadelphia, and want to start a charity that would help to alleviate some of my city's issues. Are there any suggestions for what problem should be it's main focus, and how this charity could be implemented in my high school?

    The biggest problems are all related to the same thing: poverty. It's hard to know what the most pressing need that you could fill would be, but some of the areas you might want to look into: Food Security / Hunger Homelessness Legal Aid (Community Legal Services) Education (help with homework, after school programs, job readiness programs, etc)
