What is a good paying job in the computer industry?

As someone who wants to work in the film and TV industry, it is important to seek internships. How can I balance that with working a paying job?

  • I do want to do internships to help me learn more skills and to learn how to to be successful in my chosen field and to help improve my chances of getting a job in the film and/or TV industry. However, I also have financial needs, and many internships pay nothing or little in comparison to an actual job. I don't know if I can fit a job and an internship at the same time, and do both and go to school on a full time basis (I could do both and go to school on a part-time basis, though.). What's a guy to do?

  • Answer:

As someone who worked and did my Masters full-time, I don't know how you could do an internship, work full-time, and go to school full-time. However possibly you could do a short-term internship like the below when school is not going on in the summer. http://www.summerinternships.com/internships/film/ I would advise you to start networking via LinkedIn, your career services to reach out to alums in the film industry, get involved in a film organization at your school so you start building your network in the film industry.
