How can I maintain leather boots in good condition?

Since these aren't regular shoes that need to be shined, regular shoe polish isn't the right treatment, but what is?

    I would try leather lotion, which is available from Kiwi and others.  It's basically a moisturizer for your boots. Test it on an inconspicuous spot first, and let the treatment dry.  It will look dark at first, but should return to original color once it's dried.  If that helps, clean & condition them once every 5-7 wearings. Using shoe trees will go a long way to preserving them as well, as it will help prevent the development of creases, which can lead to cracks.
