How long should a screenplay synopsis be?

Did the screenplay Salvador Dali wrote for the Marx Brothers survive? Where is it archived?

  • According to May 1996 article in Harpers, Dali wrote a screenplay for a Marx Brothers comedy. (According to the synopsis in the article, it's about as crazy as you'd expect.) I believe that screenplay was found with Dali's papers. Anyone know where it's archived? Can a researcher gain access to it?

  • Answer:

The script can't be found anywhere online and is not available to the public.  Its last known location was at the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí in Figueres, Spain.  You can possibly contact them via their website at http://www.salvador-dali.org/en_index.html.  The synopsis can be found at http://www.miskatonic.org/dali-marx.html You can also learn more about the project's history and even see some artwork portraying some of the script's visuals at http://minniesboys.blogspot.com/2009/04/surrealism-or-hello-dali.html
