How to make a page on Wikipedia?

How can I make the Wikipedia page for a client get to the first page of their SERP?

  • For very specific reasons, one of our clients is interested on having their Wikipedia page appear on their Google SERP. Currently, it is on the third page in Google, and on the first page in Bing. Should I try to build links for it, or would Google penalize this? Maybe more activity on the Wiki page would help improve its ranking in the SERP? It is a pretty well known company in its sector, and there are loads of poor results before it, so it doesnt really make a lot of sense, since Google is supposed to give a lot of authority to Wikipedia articles, right?

    Same as any other page on the web, Relevant Content on the page, and Relevant links with the correct ancor text pointing to the page.

I believe that linking from your clients website to the wiki will increase the association between your website and the wiki page (or other pages like social media profiles). Google may then display the page when people look for your brand. Especially when you rank strong for your brand (with sitelinks and all). However I don't actually have any data to back this up..
