If LTE will require CDMA & GSM bands to rollback to in rural regions, will the Verizon iPhone be a global phone?
-
To support Verizon LTE they would still need to support falling back to slower bands (CDMA) in rural areas. If they want the LTE phone to support Verizon's CDMA network, will it be a (White /) LTE / CDMA / GSM (Apple is already making GSM chips) phone for global sales?

Answer:
VoLTE can change this. With this there is no need of a fallback to make a circuit switched type call. In fact the capacity of VoLTE (calls/cell) is also more. Being a software feature(handset and network both side) ,i expect speedy rollout. But finally it all depends on carriers, how soon they adopt.
