How to use a crystal orb?

In Dark Souls 2, how do I use the Fire Orb?

• I'm new to the Souls series.  I understand that it's famous for not telling people how to play it, but I'm really frustrated.  I'm playing as a Sorcerer, level 56, and have 21 Intelligence and 6 Faith.  I also have the Sacred Chime, which I think is the weapon that I use with the Fire Orb.  Do I need a higher level of one of the attributes or something to use Fire Orb?

  The fire orb is a pyromancy. I too was really, really confused when I first played the prequel game, but after many deaths im confident enough to say I know enough about the series. To use a pyromancy such as fire orb or fireball, you need to acquire the pyromancy flame. It can be found in a chest after defeating the flexile sentry boss in no mans wharf. Equip the flame like you would any other weapon, and then attune the desired spell to a spell slot, and then attack like you normally would! Voila!
