Studying Aboard in the United States?

How do I apply for a summer internship in Europe at a large tech company if I am an international student from Asia studying in the United States?

  • How do I apply for a summer internship at a large tech company's Google's office in Europe (Facebook's or any other big company's European offices also apply) if I study in the United States? 1. Cannot apply for US positions due to Visa constraints as an international student studying in US for Master 2. Work Visa in Europe will also be needed because I am from Asia 3. Some detailed sub-questions: 1) Do I still apply for Google US online and get to pick the location only after I'm successful? Or I apply for Google London / Zurich directly? 2) Will Google spare the efforts to handle all the Visa and other formalities for an intern like me to in order to work in Europe? I know it will do so for full-times who simply can't work in the US due to H1B reasons, but what about an intern? 3) What's the chance, in general and the chance of passing Google London / Zurich interviews (Will it be easier than MV)?

  • Answer:

A2A 1) Apply for the location you're interested in, so if you want to work in Europe, apply for the roles in Zurich, London, etc. 2) Our recruiters will work with you to investigate visa options. I believe this happens once you pass the technical interviews and we've found a team for you to work on. 3) The interviews will be the same whether you're interviewing for a role in Mountain View or a role in Zurich!
