Absolutely! Seen this happening first hand. And known this to be happening for years. To clarify that my answer hasn't been from a cynical standpoint, it's absolutely possible because only a tiny portion of hires (especially if graduate/freshers) in these companies actually have to deal with any hardcore programming at all, let alone write them. And beyond that, these companies take care to train and teach you almost everything that they require you to perform day-to-day in your job role. All you need to thrive here is the aptitude to learn what is required as required.

Yah. For sure. Most billable projects depend on 20% of people to finish the project anyway. If a person knows how to offload work, takes up tasks with smart time lines, definitely doable.

Absolutely, these IT companies are not about IT always. There are lots of internal departments where zero programming knowledge is essentially the main criteria. Managerial roles with potential inter-personal skills, ability to communicate and instinct based decision making can serve the company equally. People gets trained accordingly and mapped to equivalent departments

Ofcourse... Any one can survive.. Just take this case as example. As most of the service based companies contains support projects that contains abt 80% of projects and remaining will be development. In case of.support people needs just communication.skills and Just some.knowledge which we can manage by Google and we will get project knowledge transfer which we will call KT. With that simple example, any one can.survive

Yeap, Have seen a lot of examples. Actually its difficult for people to survive there with programming skills. Others can survive with relatively more ease.
