How do I make a software download page on my site load in a Facebook Fan Page tab?

  This should be much easier now with the new release of iFrame tabs. You may not even have to make too many changes to your page. Head here http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php and create a new Facebook app. A lot of these options can be ignored for a simple tab but here are the basics of what you will need to do. Head to the 'Facebook Integration' section and enter your canvas URL. This is the URL that all the pages within a Facebook app are pulled from and so should be the URL at which the page you wish to use as a tab is. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will find a section named 'Page Tabs' Enter the name for the tab, select the iFrame page tab type and then enter your tabs file name, I usually just go with something like tab.php. Click save changes and you should be taken to an overview of your app, to quickly try out your new tab go to the applications profile page and then click the 'Add to my page' link in the left side menu. Like I said, these are pretty basic instructions but once you've created the app at http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php it's all fairly self explanatory and there are helpful tips along side each field to help you along the way.
