What are the best tasting peanuts you can buy, anywhere?

  • I just randomly bought a can of peanuts that were twice as good as the mediocre peanuts I usually buy at Trader Joes. It sort of made me realize that maybe there's a whole world of peanuts out there. So, what's the best, anywhere? And where can I buy them online? Example of what I'm talking about: The Peanut Shop of Williamsburgh Handcooked Virginia Peanuts (Lightly Salted) are fantastic. Very large blistered and really good. Are these best? How do they compare with, say, Whitley's Peanuts? or Virginia Diner?  Or peanuts from Georgia? Or? I do have a preference for roasted, blistered, shelled and lightly or not salted but wouldn't be opposed to something different.  I know organic and natural are tough for peanuts, so not required, but that would be a nice bonus.

    Carolina or Georgia peanuts are always going to be your best bet. I recommend Hardy Farms peanuts:  from Georiga (and most any peanut from Hawkinsville or Blakely, Ga) I recommend Aunt Ruby's peanuts:  these are from North Carolina
