How can you submit your own pictures on google?

Is there a way to reliably stop Google Nexus 7 2013 from syncing pictures to the web without removing syncing of calendars and email?

  • I use my tablet for invoicing with an app that keeps my data under my control, though, SIGNATURES & receipts are saved as images in the gallery. To me this is a privacy issue, especially, since I am a Canadian and my Google data is not stored in my country but that of the untrustworthy USA. After installing an exif app I discover that the Nexus 7 2nd gen had been syncing my pictures to the web even though I had thought I had turned off the picture sync when really Google is only allowing me an "offline copy." If I explicitly turn off the sync features in the Gallery it turns it off for everything. Yes, I understand that Google claims that the uploaded pictures are for my eyes only. How many employees does Google have and what kind of access do they have? With a picture library of 300 gigs from the past 2 years of work I am very concerned where they end up. Why do I need to pay them for storage when I have a few multiple terabyte drives for backup myself. It appears to me that Google has removed "my freedom to choose" what gets uploaded to the web.

  • Answer:

As far as I know, photos are syncing thanks to settings in the Google+ app.  Check in there first to see if that helps you a bit.

YES, There is a way to stop Android 4.4.2 from syncing pictures to Google "for your eyes only." Go to 'settings' then under accounts click on 'Google' then click on your account 'email' that has the sync circle beside it then you will have the option to change many of the sync settings including; App Data Calendar Contacts Drive Gmail Google Photos Google Play Books Google Play Movies & TV Google Play Newsstand Keep People Details It only took me more than a few days, rooting of my device and a complete new set up of my account to FINALY find it...lol.
