Traffic ticket out of state?

What is the relevance of a traffic ticket from a state I'll never visit again?

  • Got a ticket while driving across America to move to Canada. Handed the officer the wrong insurance document. Too bad he was unreasonable enough to not accept the correct document after. The state requires that I fight the ticket in person or hire an attorney but I'm definitely not going to Wyoming or where ever it was or spending money for an unjustified ticket. What happens if I ignored the ticket? I will return to drive in US but not the state in question.

  • Answer:

Quite relevant if you were ever to  find yourself in that State again. Also, these records are entered into databases on the national (not just the state) level.
