How to create a social network?

How common is it for authors to create social network pages using the title of either their novel or novel series as the custom URL?

  • Obviously, most authors create pages using URLs reflecting their personal name or professional pseudonym. I'm aware of the benefits of creating these communities on the latter, because it extends above a given work or series of works, has broader relevance, and might have greater longevity. Yet, I've been compelled to use my series brand for the URL, for two reasons: first, I am more interested in advancing my creation than my personal image, and second, because I seriously doubt I will write anything beyond the series. It's as though I have this important thing to say, and then I'm done. All that aside, what examples are there of authors who build social network pages on their product brand, as opposed to the brand of personal identity?
