Asian Pop Stars?

Is the skill level of dancing of pop stars like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha not difficult to learn or is it just that most female pop stars who get famous can also dance?

  I'm not an expert on this by any means, but since no one else is answering I'll throw in my best guess: I think it's a bit of both. It's clear, as a dancer myself (well, amateur dancer), that they are pretty good dancers, definitely better than your average person. But they aren't amazing—you'll notice, if you watch them perform live, that their backup dancers out-dance them by a long shot. The dances they perform are also usually easier than their backup dancers could do alone. It's kind of a shame, because it means that the general public doesn't often get to see the best of the dance world, because dancers are usually stuck holding back so that pop stars can keep up. I do think, however, that being a good dancer is part of the job description of being a female pop star (and often male too, looking at people like Usher). It's expected that at concerts and in music videos you will dance, so I doubt record companies will take a risk on promoting a singer who can't dance. Especially in the case of people like Ke$ha, you're selling an image as much as you're selling music, and part of that image is dancing.
