How would Google be different today if Steve Jobs was made CEO instead of Eric Schmidt?

Given the miraculous work Steve Jobs did for Apple, I guess Google would still be the tech giant that it is (only a different kind) if Jobs had been the CEO. However, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be seeing self driving cars if it had been Jobs instead of Eric Schmidt.

We would have to pay for the subscription for using http://Google.com Life would have been difficult today.

We would have to pay annual membership fees for using Google Search.

Google Would've charged on every search query and Bing would've charged much less than Google and occupied Lions share of Market.

He would have shut down the company and returned the wealth to shareholders. No that isn't true. But Steve Jobs was not a CEO for hire. Just like Michael Dell wasn't a CEO for hire when he was famously asked what would he do if he was running Apple.

Google would have been limited to only one thing - http://Google.com, or maybe http://iGoogle.com. But Steve Jobs was a visionary. This whole technology would have been different that we cannot think of. Only Steve knows.

Google wouldn't be Google at all. It would be insanely rich, much better and a lot services would be paid! There would have been a lot less Google Projects, definitely no self driving cars. But all of them would have been huge hits. Who knows, there might a been a paid search service for premium content.

I am imagining the humorous version of this. 1. Image search would have been made the default search results 2. Only curated (i.e. beautiful) images will be shown. 3. Each click would cost .99 cents 4. Websites would require approval to get listed and take days before being approved.

Steve Jobs was a product guy. He would of either pivoted the company and in turn created the products he had already envisioned at Apple. Or he would of never taken that position. He joined Apple again as CEO because he really believed in the end to end user experience. Like the one he created for the first macintosh.
