How To Track Lost Mobile Online?

How do I avoid getting lost in thought and losing track of time in the process?

  • More often than not, I get lost in my thoughts. I even have found that, I got lost in the thought - "that I get lost in the thought". eg. 1. I need to start for a place at 10:30. I decide to take a shower at 10:15, trying to finish it by 10:20. The water starts dripping, some thought comes... and its 10:45 before I realize. 2. I come to sit and work, unfortunately, I open quora, see what goes on here, one answer leads to another, and another and I have wasted 45 mins. without realizing where I am and what I am supposed to do. For those 45 mins. I was totally cut off from the entire world. 3. I am walking on the street. Moving from place  A - B. Some thought comes, and I start talking to myself, thinking/creating/cracking jokes and laughing as well. And when I realize I am laughing, I turn around and see, if none is watching. There are many more. I think all the above is part over thinking, and part getting immersed in the thought. How should I work on improving this getting lost into the thoughts?

A friend of mine used to have a similar issue, he used to put an alarm for every 10 minutes (whatever you are comfortable).  In this way you get an interrupt to your brain and you can get back on track easily.  1. Plan your day properly using something like http://www.any.do/ app. Install the chrome plugin for the app so that you always get notifications whether you are on your mobile or computer. 2. Have an app to have alarms every 10 minutes. 3. Before browsing a particular website set a time limit for the particular website using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/stayfocusd/laankejkbhbdhmipfmgcngdelahlfoji?hl=en .

Use an alarm. Do less things, or only that which is essential. Allow no space for wasted time, unless it is the weekend, in which case do nothing all day and be happy.
