What are the facts about school rankings in the USA? What would be the career prospects for a person graduating from a low-ranked school in the USA (especially in electrical engineering)?

Answer:
I think almost any school can be a good platform for your career, especially if you ran through a challenging curriculum like electrical engineering. Sure, the MIT or Stanford grad is going to have his pick of the litter, but even a low ranking school should open plenty of doors for you. An education is about 75% about YOU anyway, and the other 25% is the university (except for the ultra elites).
