What is the difference between ECE and CS fresher pass out, for interviews for IT jobs? And what is the difference after selection?

  hi I am an ECE student working in a it company as IOS developer when i passed out of collage in 2013 i expected to get in to core company and start my career as like any one think and also completed my PG diploma in Embedded system,then i realised while searching job that its easier to get interviews in IT companies than in core Electronics companies. when it comes to jobs in IT or any field, all companies now a days mention elegibility criteria as "all graduate stream except fachion design and pharmacy ", this means they are ready to take any gradugate no matter what the stream they are from because each company is different from other in their own way and they expect the people to be smart and quick learner than one who have theory knodwledge(ofcourse one should have basic knodwledge of what they are going to do if they join company),so company can train them according to their needs i attended some interviews in IT company they only see how basic knodwledge you have in any programming languague and how good you are in solving logical problem because if your logical reasoning and problem solving ebility is good you can learn any programming languague  companies doesnt diffreenciate if you are from ECE or EEE or CS or IT background when recruiting you if ECE guys have better programming knodwledge than CS guy they definately go for CS guy, So there is no such difference between CS or ECE guys in interview process(it applies if only you have programming knodwledge and fill their criteria i.e skill set they are expecting). once when you join company fininaly you will under go few months training and belive me you will wonder you are really a ECE guy after few months (this goes to guys who really intersted in IT field rather joining there because you didnt get any oppertunaties out side)
