Aside from being the quintessential gentleman, we know nothing of the man behind the viking. What's his backstory?

The techno viking is a specific kickass person from the 2000 Fuckparade wearing a thor's hammer and defending all that is right, not a general term: http://uk.video.yahoo.com/watch/1202386/4285621 From what I remember he's a bouncer in Germany. Some people thought he was a UFC fighter (the interwebs say it's "Keith Jardine") but UFC arranged them to meet to prove they're two separate people.
