Can I Programmatically Create FTP Accounts With Azure?

What is the best approach to overcome a reluctance on the part of paying account holders to invite partners/clients to create free user accounts so they can interact?

  • Our app is designed so corporate accounts are paying and user accounts are free. We're experiencing pushback from clients who claim they are uncomfortable inviting their partners/clients to the platform because they don't want to force them to create user accounts. I suspect if the platform was better known, this wouldn't be an issue, but as a startup, how do we overcome this hurdle? EDIT: For clarity, we are not trying to harvest new clients through our existing clients. The app is a collaboration platform that facilitates secure workflow between teams and remote partners.

  • Answer:

Be clear why you want to do it; it sounds to me as if it's a marketing ploy - you are using (paying) account holders to pass on their clients to you. That's what it looks like to me - and from what you say, that's what it looks like to them. You need to be clear in YOUR (company's) mind what you are doing, then be sure you clients are clear too. At the moment, you are seeing 'reluctance to invite' - if you don't deal with this openly and honestly, and speedily, you could be seeing an exodus. Apols if I've misunderstood something ...
