Does studying for GMAT help improve my reasoning and communication skills in real life?
-
Will I gain any skills in life by just studying for the GMAT, or just test-taking skills? I really want to master the GMAT because taking the test seems fun but I have no use for the score yet since I am still in my first year of bachelors.

Answer:
Maybe, maybe so. Who knows. Sometimes even the best test takers or the highest GPA students cannot apply what they learn from school to real life situations. Now, if you really want to improve your communication skills, get off your computer and start talking with people. You can't get any closer than that. As for thinking (reasoning), that's a whole different story and that is what school is for.
